A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight en route from Dubai to Dhaka was forced to return to Chittagong’s Shah Amanat International Airport due to a technical malfunction. The incident was confirmed by Mohammad Ibrahim Khalil, the Public Relations Officer and Engineer at Shah Amanat International Airport, on Thursday, July 24, 2025.According to Khalil, Biman Bangladesh Airlines Flight BG 148, carrying 287 passengers, landed at Shah Amanat International Airport at 7:15 AM. The flight departed for Dhaka at 8:37 AM but had to return due to a technical issue, safely landing back in Chittagong at 8:58 AM. The aircraft is currently stationed at Bay Number 8, and all passengers are reported to be safe.
