A 70-year-old man named Moksed Gazi was killed after being run over by a brick-laden trolley in Paikgacha, Khulna. The tragic incident occurred around 12:30 PM on Saturday (July 19) near the Ra’duli Baitul Mamur Mosque by the Boalia Bridge in the upazila.
Moksed, son of the late Menu Gazi from Borhanpur village in Ra’duli, was cycling towards Paikgacha when a brick-laden trolley coming from the opposite direction struck him near the mosque. He sustained severe injuries, including broken ribs and a fractured waist. Locals rushed him to Paikgacha Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries during treatment.
Paikgacha Police Station Officer-in-Charge Riyad Mahmud confirmed the death, stating, “One person has died in a road accident. Legal proceedings regarding the incident are underway.”
