Youth Brutally Stabbed to Death in Savar: Police Recover Body

A young man was brutally stabbed to death in Savar, with his mutilated body recovered by Savar police from the Upazila Health Complex on Wednesday afternoon. The deceased, Sarukh Hasan Rasel (22), was the son of Shahid Ali from Nageshwari, Kurigram.

The body was found early in the morning near the Ulail Bridge on the Dhaka-Aricha highway and was taken to the Savar Upazila Health Complex by passersby.

According to police, Rasel resided in a mess in Shobhapur, Savar, and was employed locally. His family has been informed, and further details will be available once his relatives arrive.

Savar Model Police Station Sub-Inspector Mohammad Abdus Samad Mallik stated that the body, found in a bloodied condition, was sent for autopsy. "The body had multiple deep wounds, likely caused by a sharp weapon such as a knife," he said. A murder case will be filed, and an investigation is underway to identify and apprehend the perpetrators. The incident has sparked concern in the area, with locals demanding swift justice.
