Farmer Abdul Halim Dies Due to Electrical Short Circuit in Natore’s Singra

 A farmer named Abdul Halim (38) died due to an electrical short circuit in Ramannand Khajura Union of Singra Upazila, Natore. The incident occurred around 11 AM on Sunday (August 3) while he was irrigating his pond in Khajura village. Halim was the son of Abul Kalam from the same village.

According to Saiful Islam, the acting chairman of Khajura Union Parishad, heavy rainfall on Saturday night increased the water level in Halim’s cultivated pond. On Sunday morning, while attempting to irrigate the pond, an electrical short circuit occurred in the motor’s power line, leading to his electrocution and death on the spot.

Singra Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Islam confirmed that police visited the scene after receiving the news. As the family did not file any complaint, permission was granted for the burial of the body.
